Our Staff has many years of experience and is always willing to help meet your instructional technology needs. In addition to equipment and technical support, we also support various student activities, provide training on media equipment and on CougarVIEW (Vista). There are also several members of our staff that can assist faculty in developing their instructional material for online courses.
Sandra Stratford
Dr. Stratford is the ITS Coordinator and responsible for all of the
University's instructional technology efforts. She has witnessed
the growth of the department and the increase in the complexity of the
instructional technology equipment and methods of delivery. Sandra sets the bar
for the well deserved reputation the department has for providing excellent
customer service.
Jon Haney
Jon is the Assistant Coordinator for ITS and the department's Media Production Supervisor. His expertise runs the gamut from photography and print materials to AV and computer graphics. In addition, Jon is the WebCT Vista Administrator and Trainer for the university.
Pennie Arrington
Pennie is usually the first person you meet when you visit ITS and she is always ready to help you find just the right equipment. In addition to manning the front desk, she handles much of the administrative work that needs to be done to keep the department up and running. Contact Pennie for all your equipment support needs.
Chuck Smith
Chuck is our Chief AV Engineer and designs and is responsible for the
installation of AV systems in CSU classrooms. He oversees ITS-related
contracts and as well as operating the satellite downlinks. Chuck has his own shop, allowing him to build systems, maintain parts and tools, and support the
University's instructional technology efforts.
Derek Brantley
Derek does it all, and he does it superbly! He sets-up and/or
operates portable audio, video, computer, and projection equipment at meetings,
conferences, special events, and in classrooms. Derek also trains and assists faculty, staff, and student assistants
in the use of classroom and media presentation technologies.
Steve Roach
Steve is our Distance Learning Specialist and wears many
hats. While he specializes in supporting our video over IP efforts, he also assists with the installation
of new technology into the classrooms. Steve helps the faculty
with their multimedia issues and supports many of the special
events that take place on campus, including web-casting our
graduations.
Doug Buttler
Doug is our resident instructional designer and Vista administrator
and trainer. In addition to assisting the overall ITS
mission, Doug manages the department website and has also developed
several other CSU department sites. He has extensive experience as
a Flash developer and web designer and loves to create interactive
multimedia instruction. Contact him if you want to take your online
course content to the next level.
Justin Walker
And last, but certainly not least, where
would ITS be without the help of our
student assistants? Our current student assistant, Justin, is involved in every aspect of ITS
support. Whether delivering mobile equipment or providing much needed administrative support,
Justin contributes greatly to the success of our department.
